I painted this in Vermont. I started the painting on a beautiful spring day. After a long cloistered winter with temperatures going to minus 20, spring is always a renewal. I then started my series of "Les amoureux" which took several months.
People do not always realize how much time it takes to create a painting. But i can assure you that it does take quite some time from conception to execution.
