Here is another version of a lily pond executed in plein air in India. The lilies are almost like lotuses in the fact that they have long stems coming out of the water. It is amazing to come back day after day and watch the flowers slowly moving, slowly disappearing under water and the leaves flat on the surface at first rising straight up vertically for no apparent reason. It is Monet who gave us the love for the lilies with his numerous interpretations of his pond in Giverney. Those lilies are eternal and silent and those views of a water have no limits.
