This painting is painted in plein air.The moulin du roc is an area in Niort near La Rochelle on the West coast of France. This old building was used as a bath house for a time. There is an old donjon in the same area and this building might have been part of a whole complex with a castle. I used an impressionist palette and vibrant brush strokes in order to create a lasting visual impression. Art buyers (and art lovers) will see references to prominent 20th century painter like Monet as I offer homage to his artistic vision through my own art. This artwork is still for sale, so if you’d like to purchase the painting just click on the button below.”
