I have also produced several digital painting. Some of them are photo based, others are not. A digital painting is also a lot of work. The difference is the support is virtual.

A beautiful angel with red and curly hair is holding a long stem lily. He is present with us and yet does not belong to this world... 

This a digital painting created completely on the computer, without the help of a photograph, just painted free-hand. I started this painting two years ago and left it, forgot about it. It was three quarters done and still it took me another 3 days to finish it. Painting on the computer or painting on canvas, is not a quick, one, two, three magic experience. It takes time and hard work...
