This is a commissioned painting for an Indian monastery.
The original art is sold.  Original oil on canvas, size 64" x 50"

In the traditional lore of old india Krishna is a little cowherd boy with many friends who wanders the forest of Vrindavan tending his cows from sunrise to sunset.

I have many paintings hanging in private museums in the US as well as in castles in France and monasteries in India. I have been published countless times by Bhaktivedanta Book trust and mandala media and in several other magazines and publications.

Have you visited monet’s gardens in Giverny in france? In this painting a girl and her mother ( both contemporary of Monet) are picking flowers in his garden. This painting is part of my series of classical paintings.
In this artwork I use a more impressionist manner in honor of Monet.
This is not a print. You are buying an original painting on canvas, all my paintings are canvas paintings. This art work is painted with museum quality art supplies and will last several 100 years. I've sold over 200 of my original works of art online, so you can buy with confidence. I do this for a living!! Your art will be shipped to you professionally packed with protective packaging material and wrapped in cardboard, then placed in a heavy-duty box for shipping. L'homme qui lit by Dominique Amendola

Copyright by Dominique Amendola

To see a larger picture, click on the image.

This painting is executed in a traditional way with a grisaille layer. My focus has been to have a great contrast going between pure whites and strong darks. Because i visited the Turner exhibit at the Grand-Palais in Paris, this work is an homage to William Turner. I used many layers of glazing over the grisaille.
A peaceful scene, an eclectic environment full of antiques and things all mixed up in an old house in Paris and an old man simply enjoying a great book.

Flower arches in India, plein air landscape, gardens by Dominique Amendola

Copyright by Dominique Amendola

To see a larger picture, click on the image.

This painting was painted in plein air. These gardens are part of a beautiful ashrama in South India called Govindaji Gardens. Flowers in india grow very lush and very fast. You can see coconut trees, Papaya trees, and many exotic flowers in the back ground. The style is quite realistic with attention to details and colors.

This is a commissioned piece.
