Bath time, The South Indian Brahmin, Contemporary art by Dominique Amendola

In a bathing Ghat a Brahmin( Hindhu priest) is fetching water in copper pots for his bath in Malkoti South India. Bath time is the fifth painting in my series of India artworks. I used bold colors and powerful brush strokes, as I do in all my paintings, in order to create a lasting visual impression. Art buyers (and art lovers) will see symbolic references to Japanese prints art like
Utagawa Hiroshige and Katsushika Hokusa as I offer homage to their artistic vision through my own art style in a more contemporary fashion. This is also in homage to my preferred artist Vincent Van Gogh.
